Interested in adaptive cycling

We are planning on being out at Onondaga Lake Park this coming Saturday afternoon 3-6 pm.  Come on out and give it a try.  We have  tandem cycles now for visually impaired riders and we will be adding a third tandem in the coming month.  If you know anyone who may be interested please share the word that we will be at the park this weekend

My uncle is 78 years old and has been visually impaired his whole life. He has also been a long distance biker much of his life. He has ridden across Europe and all over on the east coast of the USA. He hasn’t been able to ride the last few years after being hit by a car and breaking both arms and both legs. He now has to use a walker and is unsteady. Would he be able to participate in this activity?

Good morning, yes your uncle is welcome to come out and give cycling a try, we have two front to back tandems right now and we have a side by side tandem on order which will arrive later this month hopefully. We also have a recumbent cycle with three wheels he may be able to use if his vision is good enough to follow another rider? Please feel free to give me a call if you want to discuss this point further or just stop by on Saturday at Onondaga Lake Park. We meet up just behind the Griffin Visitor Center by the East Lake trail
